Function: 

An Allmakes part of controlling the pressure in the car’s cooling system is the Radiator Expansion Tank Cap LR017427. Coolant expands when the engine heats up during operation, raising the pressure inside the radiator and expansion tank. By allowing excess pressure to escape into the overflow reservoir through a spring-loaded mechanism, the cap prevents Allmakes and possible cooling system damage. On the other Allmakes, as the engine cools down, the cap seals the system, preserving the proper pressure and averting coolant loss.
